I ride the slut regularly from Hutch to downtown and back. It's a quick ride (10 minutes each way), and 1,000,000 times more pleasant than the #70 bus, which is sometimes a 20 minute ride or more to go the same distance. Multiple doors and wide aisle make getting on and off much quicker than a bus, where everyone has to line up single file to get in or out. The 70 is often at capacity during peak hour, so even trying to find a place to stand is a challenge. I have found the slut a very, very welcome addition to transit in this city. I would say that the SLUT is incompatible with bicycles (stupid alignment of tracks) and cars, but I could care less for the latter...only the cars and all the stop lights tend to slow the trolley to such a degree that I have concluded walking is faster (if also wetter-oh well).
