The design for this project and of Brix across the street are not altogether bad. These are both "backround" buildings that do not stand out at all and form a good visual backdrop for the life of the street itself and for other, more interesting buildings that may be built in the future. Their size and massing are appropriate for their location and for the establishment of a more urban streetscape.

As of mid June 2008 the colors, materials and detailing of the Brix project being revealed are nothing remarkable but are not badly done either.

Overall these projects are a vast improvement over the suburban like car oriented buildings they replaced.
New buildings like this are vital to the higher urban density needed to support a growing local population and are vital to stemming suburban sprawl in the Puget Sound region.
